If so, we want YOU to be our next Program Manager. Since our founding in 2007, Hello West Michigan (HWM) has been promoting West Michigan as a great place to live and work. Our organization promotes the region to attract new residents, educates people about the West Michigan lifestyle, and connects people to companies and communities.
The Program Manager focuses on engaging our company audience and marketing the region’s lifestyle to potential relocatees. They manage all elements of our award-winning programs, from conception to execution. The Program Manager also assists in shaping the organization’s overall strategy and developing membership.
Responsibilities:
Program Management
- Organize and deliver all facets of HWM programs. Create an annual calendar of events, secure event sponsors, manage event budgets, execute event day production, and evaluate the impact of events.
- Own the Weekly Resume Pack Program and platform management.
- Leverage data to meet strategic goals.
Membership Engagement
- Develop and maintain relationships within member companies to encourage membership renewal.
- Facilitate member orientation and training programs.
- Assist with new member development efforts.
Marketing and Communication
- Represent HWM at public events and speaking engagements.
- Manage all external communication, including the website, social media, email campaigns, updates to member companies, board of directors, and promotional materials. Handle all communication related to events.
- Create content promoting the region, our brand, and our services.
Opportunities for Growth
- Partner with the Executive Director to develop innovative plans to achieve HWM’s strategic goals.
- Opportunity in the future to manage intern(s), developing their skills and ensuring that their efforts contribute to the overall mission of HWM.
- Opportunity to lead event-related committees.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of experience in marketing, programming, community outreach, or HR coordination.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to present with impact.
- Collaboration and Relationship Building: Success in this role relies on the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Nice to haves:
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects, events, and deadlines.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Experience in CRMs, email marketing, or social media management platforms is a plus.
Where you’ll work:
- ·This position is based at our office in Grand Rapids and requires regular daytime travel around the region. Overnight travel may be required occasionally. Role requires attendance at evening events.
Salary : $55,000 - $60,000
