Duties
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Review financial records, including income statements and documentation of expenditures.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage to manage client accounts and prepare reports.
- Conduct thorough research on tax laws to ensure compliance and maximize client benefits.
- Provide clients with advice on tax strategies and financial planning.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and client communications.
- Assist in resolving any tax-related issues or inquiries from clients or tax authorities.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation that may affect clients.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Sage, is preferred.
- Experience in corporate accounting or public accounting is a plus.
- Strong understanding of technical accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Excellent 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry.
- Attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively explain complex tax concepts to clients.
