ABOUT THE ROLE: The Staff Development and Training Coordinator is responsible for organizing, planning, and managing employee training programs including identifying training needs, developing curriculum, scheduling training sessions, and evaluating the effectiveness of training to ensure team members acquire necessary skills and meet compliance standards.
The Staff Development and Training Coordinator will also manage the annual compliance training program, onboarding compliance requirements, track certifications and licenses, and ensure that team members are enrolled in required training such as CPR, First-Aid, AED, and PCM, as well as other certifications as needed to maintain compliance and operational excellence. This position plays a key role in fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and leadership development within the agency.
SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:
- On-site position, Monday-Friday
- 40 hours per week, over 40 hours on occassion.
- Some flexibility in schedule required due to agency/team events.
- Salary range $53,000 - $58,000/year (exempt).
- Salary based on skills and experience.
- Up to 8% annual bonus potential.
- 403b retirement plan with up to 4% company match.

A TYPICAL DAY FOR YOU AT HH:
- Develop, implement, and facilitate comprehensive training programs aimed at enhancing team member skills and competencies.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation sessions with appropriate required training for new hires to ensure a seamless integration into the agency’s culture and workflow.
- Deliver or outsource training on a variety of topics including but not limited to communication, leadership, time management, customer service, and technical skills as well as job-specific functions.
- Collaborate with department leadership to identify skill gaps and training needs and customize training solutions accordingly. Conduct regular and ongoing needs assessments to identify emerging training needs across departments and functions.
- Partner with leadership to create individual development plans (IDPs) and career path frameworks for team members, ensuring alignment with career goals and organizational needs. Provide appropriate coaching and mentoring to help team members map out their career progression and achieve their professional goals.
- Manage the succession planning process, identifying high-potential team members and providing them with appropriate learning and development opportunities.
- Select and recommend external learning opportunities for all departments across the agency such as workshops, webinars, certifications, and conferences to help team members expand their knowledge and skills.
- Ensure that team members are aware of available learning resources and encourage participation in ongoing professional development programs.
- Oversee and manage the agency’s annual compliance training programs, ensuring that all team members complete the required training in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain a centralized tracking system for team member certifications, licenses, and training completions in order to notify team members and supervisors of upcoming expirations of certifications and licenses.
- Acquire and implement the opportunity to provide CEUs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and make recommendations for program improvements. Track and report on key metrics such as training completion rates, engagement, and satisfaction as well as the impact of training on performance.
- Support the HR team in special projects related to organizational development, team member engagement, and performance management.
- Must become PCM/CPR trainer certified and serve as back-up for necessary training courses for team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education/Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Equivalent of education and experience will be strongly considered.
Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing and delivering training programs, career development initiatives, managing compliance training and/or workforce development.
Skill Sets:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suites, database systems, Teams, Zoom, etc.
- Familiarity with Certification Management, HRIS, and learning management systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with leadership teams and team members at all levels of the organization.
- Organization skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and details efficiently.
- Project management skills: Coordinate complex training initiatives from planning to execution.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences while providing training wtih clarity.
- Analytical skills: Evaluate training data to identify where improvement.is needed.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to assess training needs, create tailored learning programs, and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations and information with tact, professionalism and diplomacy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to provide, receive, and implement feedback.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about to assist others, access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- The ability to observe details at a close range (within a few feet of the observer).
- Consistently position self to maintain files in file cabinets or assist others.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Hybrid work model available. Work on-site generally performed in a temperature-controlled office environment with standard lighting and moderate noise level.
