What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Commercial Cleaner position at Helping Hands Commercial Cleaning Services?
Substitute Cleaners cover/fill in for all cleaning duties on a regular employee's assigned locations, such as offices, factories, financial institutions, or medical buildings in the event of a call off or when a location is currently unassigned. Understand and follow instructions, both verbal and written. Also maintain a level of professionalism regarding punctuality, dependability, and communication.
Basic duties include:
- Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules.
- Take direction and respond to supervision.
- Talk with co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
- Present a professional appearance and conduct.
- Performs cleaning and sanitation of common areas
- Performs cleaning and sanitation of touch points, light switches, knobs, etc.
- Performs general cleaning and sanitizing of bathrooms and breakrooms
- Performs general floor maintenance (i.e., mopping, vacuuming)
- Performs trash removal
- Maintains a neat and orderly janitors’ closet/area; ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be willing to travel throughout Joplin and surrounding areas
- Must pass a background check.
- Prolonged periods standing.
- Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 35 pounds at a time.
- Must have access to reliable transportation
- No felony convictions
- Must be 18 or older

No previous experience necessary - will provide training
