DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide the homeless department with support in training of new hires during probationary period by auditing submitted documentation and providing quality assurance (QA) and Quality Improvement (QI) feedback within scope.
- Conducts reviews of client charts across programs for adherence to regulatory and documentation standards, including outcome measure data collection, and communicates findings in writing to supervisor for follow-up and resolution.
- Provide QA support for the Homeless and Housing Department programs.
- Responsible for maintaining CARF Accreditation.
- Supports Supervisor with external audits.
- Facilitates Utilization Reviews for all programs as needed.
- Knowledge of housing resources in Service Planning Area 4 preferred. Resources can include crisis housing and permanent housing throughout Los Angeles County for program QA review.
- Knowledge of HUD guidelines and experience working with subsidized housing programs such as Section 8, Shelter Plus Care, Rapid/TLS Housing, and other Homeless and Housing Department programs.
- Keep track of all Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) licensees and other all required certifications for staff by providing reminders and obtaining documentation.
- Serve as back up person to attend County Meetings if Supervisor is unavailable.
- Assist in the day to day tasks of monitoring compliance of contracts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field required
• Superb planning and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively communicate in written form as well as verbally.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Ability to pass background check and criminal clearance.
• Maintains confidentiality in matters of agency operations, personnel and clients.
• Maintains positive communication with all agency staff, clients and visitors.
• Supports existing agency policies, principles and mission.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree in counseling, social work or related field preferred but not required
• Knowledge of CES Programs, HIMS and EXYM is a plus.
• Experience in working with the homeless and community-based organization.
