Position: Public Sector Sales Representative
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Public Sector Sales Representative to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in SMB, tech sales, and/or public sector sales, with a proven ability to drive revenue, build relationships, and navigate complex procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Sales: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within government agencies, municipalities, and public sector organizations.
- Google: Acting as a liaison to our Google partnership, traveling to client locations, and driving the deals to close.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement officers, and stakeholders in the public sector.
- Consultative Selling: Understand the unique challenges and needs of public sector clients and effectively communicate how Helport AI's solutions can address them.
- Proposal & Contract Management: Lead RFP responses, contract negotiations, and compliance with government procurement regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product, and customer success, to develop tailored solutions for public sector clients.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and government technology initiatives to position Helport AI as a preferred solution provider.
Qualifications
- 5 years of sales experience in public sector, SMB, or technology sales.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and RFPs.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage long sales cycles and complex contract negotiations.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales automation tools.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling AI, SaaS, or cloud-based solutions.
- Established relationships within government agencies and municipalities.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements for public sector sales.
