Secondary Openings
§ English Language Arts
§ Business Teacher
§ Spanish Teacher (potentially K-12)
§ Director of Lockwood STEM Center
§ K-12 Art Teacher
Required Qualifications:
§ Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting.
§ Valid Michigan teaching certificate with special consideration given to candidates with a certification in at least one other core subject ( ).
§ Alternative applicable qualifications may be considered.
A successful candidate will be able to:
· Relate to and instruct children in large groups, small groups, and individualized settings.
· Develop and use strategies to improve student achievement in all core content areas.
· Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction.
· Effectively utilize classroom discipline strategies while providing positive reinforcement.
· Contribute to a professional learning team.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure student success and a positive school climate.
