Professional Staff:
Secondary Openings
- English Language Arts
- Business Teacher
- Spanish Teacher (potentially K-12)
- Director of Lockwood STEM Center
- K-12 Art Teacher
Required Qualifications:
- Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting.
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate with special consideration given to candidates with a certification in at least one other core subject ( ).
- Alternative applicable qualifications may be considered.
A successful candidate will be able to:
- Relate to and instruct children in large groups, small groups, and individualized settings.
- Develop and use strategies to improve student achievement in all core content areas.
- Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction.
- Effectively utilize classroom discipline strategies while providing positive reinforcement.
- Contribute to a professional learning team. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure student success and a positive school climate.
