Position Summary

Summer Day Camp Counselors helps provide a safe, fun, high energy, and affordable day camp environment for Hempfield Township and surrounding area residents. This is a great opportunity for someone to make an impactful difference in the community and gain essential leadership skills for future career opportunities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Attend Staff Training 
• Ability to work 10 weeks of Summer Day Camp 
• Follow the policies and procedures set forth in your staff manual relating to safety and human relations
• Execute program plans set in place by leadership team
• Attend to campers' physical, personal, development, and emotional needs
• Support person for activities such as field games, projects, field trips, etc.
• Be a positive role model and help campers develop and grow, serve as mentor for Counselors in Training
• Lead one activity each week
• Assess hazards to ensure child safety
