What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Hemphill County Hospital?
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that the equipment and facilities of the Hemphill County Hospital District are properly maintained and functioning at optimal levels. This position will require the candidate to work 8am-5pm with on-call availability as needed.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine preventive maintenance on various types of equipment.
Troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment as required.
Complete work orders and accurately document all maintenance performed.
Ensure that equipment and facilities are in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Maintain an inventory of supplies and materials required for the maintenance of the hospital district.
Participate in training programs to develop and enhance skills related to maintenance.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must love to work with hands
Willingness to learn new skills and techniques
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
EPA license is a plus.
Must be available for on-call duties as needed
