We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR/RECRUITING SPECIALIST to join our dynamic HR team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The HR/Recruiting Specialist plays a critical role in managing full cycle recruitment, ensuring a smooth experience from job requisition to onboarding. Additionally, this position provides essential support for day-to-day HR operations, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the department.
The wage range for this position is $28.85 - $33.65/hour.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job posting to onboarding, for all positions across the organization.
- Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline through proactive sourcing strategies, including job fairs, community and partnerships.
- Foster relationships with local colleges, organizations, and community groups to attract diverse candidates.
- Create and post job advertisements on job boards, company website, and other recruitment channels.
- Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and schedule inperson interviews with candidates.
- Coordinate preemployment assessments, background checks, and reference checks.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define staffing needs and job descriptions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and produce recruitment reports for management.
- Assist in implementing HR programs and policies aimed at improving recruitment strategies, employee retention, and overall organizational performance.
- Assist in the coordination, processing and communication of companywide benefits offerings, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
- Processes paperwork for new hires, status changes and terminations.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team as needed, including document preparation, scheduling, and organizing employee files.
- Assist with HR projects, including employee surveys, audits, and other HR initiatives.
- Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive workplace culture by supporting employee engagement efforts and events.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience with full cycle recruiting, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Knowledge of labor laws, health and safety regulations, and compliance requirements in the manufacturing industry.
