What are the responsibilities and job description for the Highway Superintendent position at HEN, LLC?
The Superintendent is responsible for providing engineering and project support on Heavy Highway construction projects.
The superintendent is expected to maintain a good knowledge of the contract plans and specifications, including subcontracts and purchase orders, and methods.
Works with Project Managers, other Superintendents, Foreman and Crews on the project.
Assist with project closeout, finalizing quantities, and preparing job cost reports
Schedule and manage material deliveries – ensure that materials received are accompanied by proper certifications per the contract documents.
Compile and maintain project documentation including daily reports/schedules and jobsite photos
Monitor subcontractors schedule and progress
Order / Manage / Balance concrete pours.
Required Education & Experience:
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field OR Heavy Highway Construction experience.
Must be safety oriented – 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA certificates are preferred.
Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project etc.).
Working knowledge of blue beam software.
Employee will on occasion work 2nd shift during construction stages.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
