Henderson Engineers is seeking a BIM Technical Manager to join their Business Sector. The BIM Technical Manager is responsible for managing the execution of quality and efficiency strategies and policies related to 3D models for engineering projects within the sector. This position requires a deep understanding of BIM processes, software, and expertise so that they can drive initiatives that their team can execute. We are looking for a candidate that can provide strategy and ideas, in addition to leading a team of BIM Technicians.

So, what will you be doing all day?You would be joining our Business Sector as a BIM Technical Manager working on things like...

• Coordinating with the Sector Technical Director to align discipline-specific engineering approaches across sector, maintaining consistency with companywide quality strategies.
• Proactively monitors technical quality within the sector, responding appropriately to areas of concern or options for improvement.
• Provides feedback to Sector leadership to inform technical strategies of the sector.
• Shares ongoing feedback to sector leadership regarding the performance quality of production staff.
• Manages quality-assurance tools, processes, and databases, ensures judicious application of these resources.
• Provides quality control for projects.
• Tracks and reports on progress toward annual goals and priorities of their technical discipline in the Sector.
• Serves as a technical resource / expert within the sector.
• Oversees technical training and mentoring needs of the sector and provides ongoing mentoring to production teams within the sector.
• Oversees and provides training specific to the newly hired staff within the sector.
• Identifies, delegates, and executes process improvement strategies and tasks.
• Teams across Sectors to align and maximize training efforts based on common needs from a company-wide perspective.
• Participates in interviewing to evaluate technical proficiency of potential talent for the practice.
• Keeps others well informed and prioritizes audiences, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Leads by example, challenges assumptions, and creates candid feedback loops.
• Creates a sense of urgency to tackle problems and rewards responsiveness.
• Recognizes opportunity for improvement, creating and supporting processes and feedback to improve results.
• Maintains knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant to success throughout job functions.
