Position Summary: The Service Desk Technician provides IT service desk technical support for all employees in all locations, including remote offices. They support hardware/software related issues, preparation for company meetings, video conferences, seminars and presentations, and prepare workstations for new hires. The Service Desk Technician also assembles, implements and upgrades new PC hardware, monitors and other equipment as needed, and assists the Network team with server maintenance and support as needed.

Position Summary: The Service Desk Technician provides IT service desk technical support for all employees in all locations, including remote offices. Key Responsibilities:
- Serves as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance in person, electronically and by phone.
- Responsible for ticket queues and prioritizing user issues while providing a high-quality, consistent service experience to our employees within the defined Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Prepares devices for end users, including imaging, driver updates, software installations, peripherals, and data transfers.
- Responsible for all employee changes (New Hires, Transfers, Name Changes, etc.).
- Assists users with the configuration and use of laptops, VDI’s and peripheral equipment within established standards and guidelines.
- Assists users with the installation, updates and licensing of software.
- Utilizes and maintains automation software to perform employee changes.
- Communicates with vendors regarding hardware updates, troubleshooting, RMA’s and software.
- Prepares and troubleshoots iOS and Android devices using a Mobile Device Management (MDM) system.
- Performs data restorations using the Windows Server and Microsoft 365 cloud platforms.
- Provides technical and hands-on support for conference rooms and AV equipment.
- Escalates more complex issues to Senior Service Desk Technicians or other IT disciplines as appropriate.
- Adheres to established IT policies, procedures, and standards, and actively works to improve processes
- Accurately tracks all assets through the inventory management system
- Documents and maintains end-user technical support articles for the proper use of hardware and software.
- Provide coverage for early (7am) and late (7pm) shifts as needed to ensure coast to coast coverage
- Availability after hours to address emergencies, outages and break-fixes
- Availability to participate in occasional service desk maintenance windows occurring outside normal working hours
- Occasional lifting of IT equipment (less than 50 pounds)
- Occasional physical activity including climbing ladders, crawling under desks, working in IT closets, etc.
- May occasionally travel to national offices (2-4 times/year)
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates, Bachelors or Technical degree preferred
- Technical certifications preferred
- One year of technical or help desk experience preferred
- Demonstrates professionalism, reliability and integrity with respect to the job requirements
- Possesses high technical aptitude and strong troubleshooting and time management skills
- Must exhibit effective written and verbal communication skills
- Understands networking principles, including office/home connectivity troubleshooting over wired/wireless networks
- Comfortable working with computers and basic network hardware
