HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
This is a full-time position responsible for performing the shipping functions for the freight and materials. The maintenance of accurate records related to the receipts and returns of inventory is critical to the smooth flow of production. Performance of these duties impact the balance sheet items related to inventory and accounts payable and the profits of the company by delivering materials to the correct areas so production is not interrupted. Discipline and attitude are key aspects of this position.
- Delivers materials to appropriate work center drop zone, department or personnel.
- Pulls carts prior to truck build.
- Return parts from carts that are thru QC bay and put back into inventory.
- Process yellow tags and investigates/resolves inventory discrepancies.
- Handles medium to heavy weights. Operates fork truck, hand trucks and other equipment in the receiving area.
- Assists in shipping, warehouse or storage locations as required.
- Assist with annual physical inventory.
- Schedules LTL shipments for outbound materials.
- Responsible for outgoing UPS shipments.
- Answer flags on shop floor.
- Performs back-up duties for all shipping activities (UPS, LTL, and Full Load) including data entry.
- Processes rejected materials through the IRM procedures.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:
- Ability to improve warehouse and receiving processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
- Technological skills required with knowledge of operations manufacturing software, as well as Microsoft products, including Excel and Word in Windows environment.
- Organizational, detail, and follow-up skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong team player.
- Operate forklifts, hand carts and other equipment as needed to perform job duties.
- Maintain an orderly appearance in the area thru the 5-S system.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs.
- Bending, lifting, and standing
- Exposure to noise and weld and grinding smoke
