HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
This position performs the overall duties relating to financial reporting, account analysis and reconciliations, month-end General Ledger activities, financial statement preparation and consolidation, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance without much supervision.
- Create and report out analysis on financial results (variance to plan, trends, performance metrics, benchmarks).
- Assist with annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting.
- Arrange monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting.
- Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests.
- Point of contact for insurance, leases, and other related requests.
- Assist with cost accounting and inventory projects as required.
- Independently complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP.
- Perform select month-end reporting and Balance Sheet account reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing Capital Appropriation requests.
- Participate when feasible with teams formed to create continuous improvement efforts in systems and procedures.
- Complete other projects & tasks as required.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance; 3-6 years related experience and/or training. CPA preferred but not required.
- Good verbal and written communications with vendors, customers and co-workers.
- Strong understanding of Excel. Familiarity with one or more accounting software systems.
- Good analytical skills and the ability to work with intangible concepts. Must apply good judgment and must complete responsibilities timely and accurately.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent assignments.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Fast-paced manufacturing facility.
- Personal protective equipment including hearing protection, eye protection and metatarsal guards are required in areas of the facility.
