What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician position at Hendrick Architectural?
Essential Functions And Responsibilities -
- Install and maintain all plant equipment and facilities of both a mechanical and electrical nature
- Maintain & repair hydraulics/pneumatics & power transmissions systems incl. gearboxes, bearing assemblies & alignments
- Perform normal maintenance, mechanical and electrical craft-type duties, correct breakdowns to unplanned interruptions
- Layout, fit and assemble parts, when necessary, read blueprints and machine schematics as needed
- Layout, install and maintain a wide variety of complex electrical equipment such as automatic controls, etc.
- Diagnose and remedy electrical trouble
- Operate personal computers, microprocessors, and programmable controls relative to production equipment
- Set up and operate all maintenance equipment
- Basic torch cutting and arc welding as needed
- Basic plumbing including pump repair and piping systems
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a basic math skills assessment
- Vocational Technical certification in electrical, mechanical, machining trade or equivalent experience
- Must provide own hand tools sufficient to carry out assigned duties
- Minimum 4 years’ maintenance experience in an industrial setting
- Requires ability to operate forklift, powered transport, and material handling equipment
- Must possess working knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to set up and operate typical maintenance shop machinery.
- Must possess working knowledge of industrial hydraulic systems and their components
- 10 years’ experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work from wiring diagrams and schematic drawings
- Ability to install and check electronic controls and circuits
