JOB SUMMARY
Hospice Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), or Hospice Aides, provide personal care and assist with the activities of daily living for patients in end of life care. CNAs function under the direction, instruction, and supervision of the Registered Nurse.

Minimum Education
Minimum Work Experience
6 months experience
Required Licenses / Certifications
Current Nurse Aide Certification
Current HeartSaver CPR Certification
Current Driver’s License
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Ability to carry out obligations and duties of position
Accountable for the regulatory requirements, functions, and duties of the Hospice Aide
Deals effectively with community / consumers
Demonstrated advocate of quality and cost effective care
Understand the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual concerns / problems of terminally ill patients and families
Must be knowledgeable of quality and performance improvement activities
Proven written and editing skills
Strong computer skills
Requires ability to handle confidential information
Excellent human relations and oral / written communication skills
