Essential Functions:
- Provide Technical Support and support warranty coverage to external (and internal) customers via various communications; process warranty claims and provide telephone and email coverage.
- Maintain a data base warranty program to track, update, and gather detailed information regarding accuracy for our product performance, with special emphasis on the Hendrickson Trailer product line. Prepare reports to track product performance.
- Build customer relations and ongoing service to customers. Ensure customers, customer service, marketing, and field sales are trained on latest product offerings.
- Travel and investigate claims as needed to diagnose and resolve field service problems by providing product support via appropriate cross-functional departments to incorporate corrections into production.
- Identify and maintain a training program and procure mockups needed to support Hendrickson Trailer products and warranty training.
- Identify and assist with review of technical support literature, service bulletins and parts lists to support the Hendrickson Trailer product line.
- Coordination of communications among various departments such as Engineering, Production and Sales.
- Assist and support the product development process.
- Four-year Bachelor, Associate degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Background in verbal and a heavy emphasis on written communication with customers and sales personnel.
- Experience in development of technical materials for customer and sales use.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment. Works well in pressure situations.
- Experience in training of customers and company personnel concerning products and troubleshooting.
- Must be willing to travel as needed.
- Frequent sitting, work at computer for extended periods of time.
- Office setting.
- Minimal exposure to R&D lab and manufacturing setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to diagnose problems with little background information.
- Able to maintain professionalism in conflict situations.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Able to do multiple tasks effectively.
