Job Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales with new customers and managing distributors for the entire hydraulic filter product line. This includes providing close technical sales support, assisting end users and distributors and promotion and mastery of the product line.Close alignment to product and sales support in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario, Lincolnton/NC, Germany and operational/customer service in Camden will be part of the function. With two major acquisitions in the past five years, communication and PR to the market that Rexroth Hydraulic Filtration, as well as Main Filter are now Hengst, makes this an exciting time to be part of the North American business evolution.
Job Description
Major Responsibilities:
Revenue Growth – Obtain desired sales results in assigned geographic territory
- Grow existing sales through current distribution network in North America
- Add new sales channel partners according to strategic objectives
- New Business Acquisition/Identification – Identify additional distribution partners and end-user accounts to fulfill growth objectives
Product Expert – Provide technical and application expertise
- Field sales calls with distributors
- Provide technical product trainings
- Troubleshoot and offer solutions with Hengst products
Market Strategy Development
- Provide insight and input as a supplement to the global and regional strategy
- Design channel strategy to satisfy system integrators to end users to MRO to optimize market capture
Additional Responsibilities:
- Be the Voice of Hengst Filtration – Represent Hengst Hydraulic Filtration to internal/external customers
- In-person and virtual customer presentations, meetings and close technical support
- Be able to provide technical assistance and close support to customers
- Configuration of complex hydraulic filtration solutions
- Knowledge of pricing procedures, policies and practices
- Prepare presentations with respect to covering market as well as technical information required internally and externally
- Understand competitive landscape of hydraulic filtration and have knowledge of market pricing, and other issues as pertains to our NA customer base
- Develop price quotations, presentations and proposals as necessary
Desired Skills & Experience
Requirements:
- Proactive, competitive, motivated, ‘hunter’ mentality
- Strong understanding of local industrial marketplace and landscape
- Familiar and knowledgeable with hydraulic systems (mobile and stationary applications)
- Familiarity with hydraulic circuits – including pumps, reservoirs, suction and pressure filtration ideal
- Certified Fluid Power Specialist preferred
- Up to 50% travel
- 5-10 years’ work experience in sales team environment
- Solid computer skills, including MS Office
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Technology (Mechanical Engineering) or Business preferred
