What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Nurse (RN) - Addiction Medicine position at Hennepin County Medical Center?
SUMMARY : We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Addiction Medicine department.This position is a 1.0 FTE (10 shifts / pay period), 8-hour shifts, Day / Evening, Every Other Weekend at a 4 hour shift.This position will be trained to work in the office based treatment clinic, psychiatry addiction clinic, and the 245G Licensed opioid treatment program.
- This position is grant funded for 5 years.RESPONSIBILITIES : Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by :
- Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
- Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
- Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
- Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
- Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
- Educating patient on their disease process
- Assuring continuity of care
- Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well beingMinimum Qualifications :
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of MinnesotaPreferred Qualifications :
- Addiction Medicine treatment experience
- Mental Health experience
- Certification in area of clinical specialty
