What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wellness Nurses - Flu Clinic position at Hennepin County Medical Center?
HCMC/ MVNA is currently seeking 66 qualified Wellness Nurses to perform 20-25 flu vaccinations/ hour through mobile on-site flu clinics at local companies, schools, and civic organizations. This position requires flexibility to work multiple shifts 10-30 hours/ week dependent upon our clients' needs and requirements from mid-August to early November (80% of our Flu clinics occur on day shift, Mondays-Thursdays). While 95% of our clients are in the Twin Cities metro area, we also serve Brainerd, Cambridge, Duluth, Mankato, Owatonna/ Faribault, Rochester, St. Cloud, and Western Wisconsin.

Our Wellness nurses create a welcoming environment for safe delivery of injections at a wide variety immunization/ vaccine (flu) clinic sites according to HCMC protocol. They assure clients correctly complete consent/ insurance forms and manage the traffic flow of clients to maintain on-time appointments and scheduled clinic time. In addition, they may be called upon for their competency in obtaining information for biometric screening and asked to provide follow–up coaching/ education for participants

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college
- Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota –OR- have passed your NCLEX-RN board exam by June 30, 2017
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have regular access to an insured automobile
- Must be BLS certified
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college
- Experience in immunization and biometric screening clinics
