NorthPoint Health and Wellness Center is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team. This position will perform a wide variety of general administrative tasks related to the management of departmental operations or specialized functions such as training or contract compliance.

Location and hours:
This position is on-site at the NorthPoint Health and Wellness Center, at 1256 Penn Avenue North Suite 5100, Minneapolis, MN 55411. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. New Employee Orientation (NEO) for all new benefit-earning employees is in-person in downtown Minneapolis. In this position, you will:
- Assist in budget analysis and preparation.
- Serve on organization-wide or community committees and/or task forces.
- Investigate and recommend action regarding complaints about services, operations, policies, or procedures.
- Recommend policy and procedure review and propose policy alternatives.
- Draft and develop plans for program implementation.
- Research, analyze, and interpret current and proposed laws, rules, and legislation.
- Compose various letters, reports, and prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
- Evaluate performance of a departmental operation based on stated goals and objectives.
- Select, develop, implement, and administer established training programs.
- Conduct investigations to determine compliance with contract provisions and EEO/Affirmative Action laws and regulations.
- Handle the development, management, and submission of BAR to county Legislar Software.
- Administer Conference Center Coordination that includes booking rooms, calendar management, IT troubleshooting, and any necessary preparation or takedown as needed.
- Maintain/stock office supplies, maintain office equipment, and troubleshoot IT issues for executive team support.
- Provide supervision or work directly with administrative staff across divisions.
- Provide leadership to further department-based strategies that align with county goals, mission and core values for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Need to have:
- One of the following:
- Four years or more of experience in general administrative work relating to the support of departmental/organizational operations or in a specialty area appropriate to the position. (General administrative work is defined as the administration and/or management of programs, policies, and/or budgets).
- Bachelor's degree or higher in public administration, business administration, health administration or other field appropriate to the position.
Nice to have:
- Experience:
- Working in a clinical office setting.
- Using the Legislar software program.
- Using Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word).
- Working with county commissioners, state, county, and/or city officials.
- Ability to:
- Work both independently and collaboratively as an effective team member.
- Understand multiple computer system applications.
- Work effectively and communicate with individuals from a variety of cultural and lifestyle backgrounds in a respectful and non-judgmental manner.
- Effective attention to detail, good organization skills and the ability to meet deadlines and requests utilizing appropriate time management skills.
- Proficiency in using a variety of computer software applications.
