Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Writes and edits procedural documentation such as user guides and manuals.
- Determines the type of publication that will best serve the project requirements.
- Meets with engineers, programmers, graphic designers, and project managers to learn about specific products or processes.
- Fluency in technical and common office software
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter
- Ability to check all technical material for consistency and accuracy
- Assesses the audience’s needs for whom the technical and procedural documentation is intended; adjusts tone and technical terms used to meet those needs and to ensure understanding.
- Maintain departmental 5S housekeeping standards
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Business, Computer Science, or related field required.
- Experience: Three years of related experience required
- Skills: Relevant knowledge of the topic or product that the writer is documenting
- Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences
- Strong proofreading, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Desktop publishing skills and familiarity with the latest technologies and applications in the market
- Must be able to read and understand English
- Must be willing to submit and pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
