Job Description
As a Site Procurement Manager, you’ll lead procurement and materials management to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective chemical plant site operations. Acting as the bridge between Corporate Procurement and the site, you’ll align sourcing strategies, maintain inventory, and drive supplier performance to support continuous manufacturing operations.
What You’ll Do
🔹 Procurement & Sourcing
Lead sourcing, contracting, and supplier management to meet site needs.
Forecast procurement for routine maintenance, outages, and turnarounds.
Manage RFQ/RFP processes, supplier negotiations, and contract execution.
Ensure purchase orders comply with corporate policies & site requirements.
Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
🔹 Materials & Inventory Management
Oversee material flow and optimize warehouse inventory for seamless operations.
Maintain ERP master data, reorder points, and critical spare lists.
Conduct cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and manage excess stock.
🔹 Leadership & Strategy
Supervise Procurement & Warehouse teams, ensuring best practices in execution.
Improve procurement & inventory planning, reporting, and efficiency.
Align site purchasing activities with corporate objectives and cost targets.
Qualifications
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
10 years in supply chain roles within manufacturing (chemical/ refinery preferred).
2-3 years of supervisory experience leading procurement or inventory teams.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems (JDE preferred) and MRO supply categories.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
Ability to work across all levels of the organization and drive strategic decisions.
