Reports To: Director of Marketing and Public Relations

Job Summary:

The Marketing Coordinator provides essential support to the Director of Marketing and Public Relations in the development and execution of marketing initiatives that align with the hospital’s strategic plan. This role is responsible for overseeing and implementing marketing strategies, public relations efforts, community outreach, and special programs while maintaining brand consistency and engagement across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and execution of marketing plans, advertising strategies, and public relations initiatives to enhance hospital services awareness.

• Assist in the coordination of hospital-sponsored programs, including Senior Stars, the Volunteer Auxiliary, and the Dog Therapy Program to ensure engagement and effectiveness.

• Manage and update the organization's website and social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube, to maintain an active and positive online presence.

• Create compelling graphic design materials, including brochures, advertisements, social media content, and event materials, ensuring brand consistency.

• Develop and manage internal and external communications to support hospital messaging and community engagement.

• Plan, organize, and execute special events and promotional activities, including those occurring during weekdays and weekends.

• Collaborate with hospital departments to develop and support marketing initiatives that align with organizational goals.

• Track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and community outreach initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.

• Manage special projects: As assigned by the Director of Marketing and Public Relations and/or Administration.

Community Relations:

• Assist community liaison with information and activities.

• Continuously submit information about hospital services and events to pertinent local web portals and media outlets.

• Help coordinate community benefit meetings and activities.

• Represent the hospital at local functions.

Photography/Videography:

• Provide photography and videography for the production of marketing materials.

• Work with human resources, medical staff, and other departments as appropriate to educate staff and physicians on the use of the hospital’s website.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred.

• Experience in marketing, public relations, graphic design, or event coordination, preferably in a healthcare setting.

• Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and social media management tools.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends for events.

• Experience with website management, HTML, and content creation is a plus.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with diverse audiences, including hospital staff, volunteers, patients, and the community.

Work Environment:

• Office setting with frequent hospital and community engagement.

• Requires occasional travel for events and community outreach programs.

• Some lifting and physical activity may be required for event setup and coordination.
