Description
The Medical Assistant will work in both the pulmonology office and the primary care office assisting physicians and providers with various tasks, including follow up on patient calls and diagnostic results, scheduling patient exams, and rooming patients. Successful candidate should be flexible and willing to work in various clinical and non-clinical roles, as determined by office need and training.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma and graduate of an approved technical program, accredited School of Registered Nursing, School of Practical Nursing or State, or equivalent workplace experience and training
Job Knowledge: Knowledge to perform routine clinical procedures and provide quality health care assistance for patients as instructed by the -physician
Requirements for Performance: Functions in an accurate and efficient manner in dealing with patients, families, co-workers and physicians. Demonstrates the ability to perform technical skills as instructed by the physician
Experience: Clinical experience necessary
Physical Demands: Mentally and physically healthy; Verbal and written communication skills are required
Handing of Confidential Information: Required to handle protected health information and data according to HCMC policy and all federal and state regulations
