Open to rising high school juniors and seniors, this paid internship program offers hand-on learning in the fields of water treatment, wastewater treatment, IT, reservoirs and grounds, advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), water loss, and purchasing and inventory. Come learn more about these lucrative career paths in the water industry!
Select Southern Crescent Technical College courses are a component of the internship and will run concurrently with the Summer Institute Internship Program.
Internship Dates: June 2 - July 25, 2025
Pay Rate: $14.00 / hour
Minimum Age Requirement: 16 years old

Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) - Located at HCWA main office in McDonough
Information Technology (IT) - Located at HCWA main office in McDonough
Purchasing & Inventory - Located at HCWA main office in McDonough
Reservoirs & Grounds - Located near Noah's Ark in Locust Grove
Wastewater Treatment - Located in North Ola
Water Loss - Located at HCWA main office in McDonough
Water Treatment - Located in South Ola or in Locust Grove
