General Summary: Health Unit Coordinator, Emergency
Henry Ford Providence Novi Hospital 24 hours/week 7am-7:30pm
Performs administrative and clerical duties in support of an assigned clinical area. Responsibilities: Greets patients, visitors, and new admissions. Answers general inquiries and schedules patients for appointments. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls.| Performs general clerical duties including filing, email correspondence, and mail distribution. Creates various reports and documents as assigned. Helps patients/residents with basic technology and social media.| Communicates with patients, families, physicians and other healthcare team members about patient care.| Performs unit safety checks. Assists with meeting patient needs and escalates as appropriate.| May assist with meals, pass and collect trays, pass out activities, and transport patients/residents through facility. May assist with stocking supplies and keeping unit and patient rooms clean and orderly.| May maintain staff schedules and timekeeping as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. - Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable. - Preferred use of administrative skills in a hospital setting,
