Henry Ford Health's, Department of Women's Health Services, is seeking a board eligible/certified, Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician to help expand the current program treating patients of Henry Ford Macomb Medical Center on 26 Mile Rd. in Macomb, Michigan which is less than 10 miles from our Henry Ford Macomb Hospital and less than 40 miles from our flagship hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
The Department offers Women's Care across 15 urban and suburban medical centers. Henry Ford Hospital specifically offers obstetrical and gynecologic care in the urban setting of Detroit, Michigan and its immediately surrounding areas. In addition to general obstetrics and gynecology, the department offers subspecialty care in uro-gynecology, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, reproductive endocrinology, and infertility, and pelvic pain. The large division of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Henry Ford offer the opportunity for extensive call cross coverage (1 in 11-12).
Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician General Duties:
Provide oversight to certified nurse midwives, residents and medical students
Manage high risk obstetrical patients
Inpatient and outpatient gynecology services such as primary and preventative care, contraception, family planning, pelvis pathological diagnosis and treatment such as abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroid uterus, pelvic pain, endometriosis.
Opportunities for research as well as academic appointment at Michigan State University as well as neighboring Wayne State University are available.
