What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Course Starter position at Henry Stambaugh Golf Course?
Overview
Henry Stambaugh Golf Course is currently accepting applications for seasonal Golf Course Starters for the 2025 season.
Starters are responsible for checking in golfers, monitoring our golf cart fleet, enforcing golf course rules/policies, as well as completing standard outside operations duties. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid (State of Ohio) Driver's License and be able to safely operate a motorized golf cart.
The course is open from April 1 through mid-November (weather permitting). Starter shifts are approximately 7:15-2:00 and 2:00-sunset every day, depending on the time of year. The ideal candidate will be available to work 3 to 5 shifts per week on a rotating schedule, including both weekday and weekend mornings and afternoons/early evenings. This includes holidays such as Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.
Golf experience is a must. Starting rate ranges from $10.50 to $12.00 / hour depending on level of experience and includes complimentary golf and cart for the entire season.
