Position Description:

This role’s responsibly will be responsible for overseeing and supporting all aspects and processes of the company’s trade partners, consultants, supplier and vendor contracting activities and supporting the company’s e-discovery needs.


Compensation Range (Colorado Only)

$100,000-$120,000 annually


Essential Duties:

Under the oversight of Legal Department Counsel:

  • Review, analyze and negotiate construction subcontract instruments and other related documentation with trade partners, consultants, suppliers and vendors to ensure high-quality documents are consistently generated to avoid future disputes.
  • Identify, review and resolve proposed changes to subcontract terms and ensure proper flow-downs.
  • Assist with the resolution of trade partner and supplier contract compliance, payment (bond and lien claim) and other issues and disputes.
  • Coordinate contracting responsibilities with appropriate operations personnel to ensure seamless performance.
  • Identify high-risk, special, or complex contract, insurance and bond terms and conditions and other unique or unusual risk scenarios. Refer to department counsel for resolution to ensure compliance with company risk management practices, policies and applicable laws.
  • Administer and further develop company subcontracting processes and procedures.
  • Administer and further develop the Company’s subcontracting platform and develop and administer department contract and matter management and tracking systems.
  • Oversight and administration of company’s subcontractor default insurance (SDI) program.
  • Oversight and administration of company’s obligations related to the storage and production of electronically stored information (ESI).
  • Outreach and training of operations personnel on subcontracting processes and systems as assigned.
  • Establish priorities and maintain good interpersonal relations and communications with individuals and groups to include department counsel, paralegals and outside lawyers, support staff, regional employees, operations personnel, and corporate executives and other professionals.
  • Perform other duties in support of department priorities and initiatives as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of proven experience in construction contracting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracting principles, contractual risk transfer, indemnity and insurance is mandatory.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with legal, operations, finance and technical professional and managers.
  • Attention to detail in composing, analyzing and proofing contracts and other written materials and ensuring contract documentation is completed and maintained professionally and accurately for department purposes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and demands with shifting deadlines to ensure processes, workflows and resources are optimized.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, poise and perseverance.
  • Strong sense of integrity and firm understanding of and adherence to confidentiality principles is required.
  • Must have a valid Driver License.

Physical Work Classification & Demands:

  • Light Work. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, phone, computer, and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and external stakeholders regarding a variety of topics related to office administration.
  • Constantly reads written communications and views email submissions.
  • The person in this position regularly sits in a stationary position in front of a computer screen.
  • Visual acuity and ability to operate a vehicle as certified and appropriate.
  • Rarely exposed to high and low temperatures
  • Rarely exposed to noisy environments and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
