Responsibilities
- Executes month-end accounting processes and procedures, including preparing end-of-month general ledger entries and accruals, bank reconciliations, execute Costpoint allocation processes, calculating/posting Revenue, and updating Reports (Business Intelligence and CostPoint)
- Publish company financial statements including but not limited to the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows, ensuring data integrity for the reporting and analyzing and reporting on variance drivers versus Budget
- Utilize Costpoint to manage and analyze project budgets, forecasts, and actual expenditures
- Create and validate the company’s annual submission of the incurred cost submission to the Defense Contract Audit Agency
- Ensures departmental accounting entries, processes, and reporting are compliant with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- Respond to requests for financial data and to resolve reporting and compliance issues, conduct and lead audits as necessary
- Collects and examines account information necessary to reconcile financial discrepancies
- Prepare financial reports and dashboards to support decision-making processes and track project metrics
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate tracking of costs and adherence to budgetary constraints
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or advanced Degree Accounting, or related field
- 7 years of related accounting experience
- 5 years of progressive Costpoint experience
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Expertise in Deltek Costpoint, with a strong understanding of its modules related to accounting, finance, and project management.
- Costpoint Certifications Preferred
- Government contracting experience strongly preferred
