- Job Summary – As Quality Control Technician you will work within the Quality Control Team to plan and conduct activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products.
- Plan and conduct analysis, inspection, testing, and integration to assure quality products/components.
- Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate current process and process changes.
- Document data obtained during all quality assurance activities consistent with company policies and procedures.
- Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
- Communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provide recommended process improvements.
- Prepare and present technical reports and program information on results of quality assurance activities.
- Monitor and reduce scrap through identification of process improvement methodologies.
- 2-year technical school degree in STEM or related field or military equivalent and 2 years related experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Desired certifications include Six Sigma Yellow Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Technician.
- Mechanical aptitude, knowledge and experience working with engineering drawings and blueprints .
- Statistical Process Control and experience applying basic statistical techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to operate (basic functions) in an ERP computer environment (SAP Preferred).
- Experience working with a Quality Management System in an ISO 9001/17025 environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and vomputer literate in Microsoft applications. Advanced Excel skills required.
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in both hot and cold conditions.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check and be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
