Job description

Duties and responsibilities
· Review charts every week to ensure audit-ready charts.
· Supports audit practices for the program.
· Provides Clinical Supervisor with weekly program status on meeting documentation requirements and timelines.
· Provide suicide screenings and assessments.
· Collect urine and drug samples as needed.
· Responsible for the development and implementation of treatment plans.
· Responsible for coordination and linkage of clients based on stated needs and goals in the treatment plan.
· Responsible for meeting with clients to work on skill-building.
· Facilitate recovery-based groups.
· Maintain assigned case load and achieve productivity expectations based on program contract and/or program needs.
· Effectively engages and interacts with clients and families demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
· Handles all client interactions courteously and professionally using effective reflective listening skills and seeks to understand others' divergent views.
Qualifications
Must currently hold a CDCA license with the state of Ohio Chemical Dependency Licensure Board or currently be working toward obtaining a Licensure
Skills:
· Knowledge of documentation requirements based on client contact, training, and audit-ready charts.
· Cultural competency and ability to effectively work with people differing in value systems, ethnicity, cultural backgrounds, language capabilities, and disabilities.
· Empowerment, advocacy, and support techniques for victims/survivors of violence, people with mental illness or substance abuse issues.
· Knowledge of community resources in Summit/Stark County and surrounding areas.
CDCA COMPETENCIES:
· An understanding of AOD treatment and recovery
· How to engage a person in treatment and recovery
· Understanding of other health care systems, social service systems, and criminal justice systems
· Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of cultural diversity in the population served and respond in a culturally competent manner.
· Demonstrate good communication skills – both written and oral.
· Demonstrate basic computer skills (Excel and Word) – type 40 words per minute.
· Demonstrate the ability to complete paperwork in a timely, professional, and efficient manner.
· Demonstrate effective use of agency time and resources.
· Demonstrate knowledge of concepts of recovery/resiliency.
· Demonstrate knowledge of crisis response procedures, de-escalation techniques, and understanding how his/her behavior can impact the behavior of the individual with substance use disorders.
· Demonstrate an understanding of the community resources. Including an understanding of systems of care, such as natural support systems, entitlement and benefits, inter-and intra-agency systems of care, crisis response systems and their purpose, and the intent and activities of case management.
· Demonstrate an understanding of the population serviced, such as substance use disorder symptoms, medication, culture, and age/gender development.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
