BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGER

KNOWLEDGE BASE:
· Complete monthly inservice training
· Working knowledge of accounting
· Deal effectively with resident, public, and co-workers
· 10-key calculator by touch, typing ability, including experience with computers
· Ability to supervise business office staff
· Ability to organize, prioritize, and work within deadlines
· Ability to perform the work tasks within the physical demand requirements
· Genuine caring and interest in elderly and handicapped people
· Ability to comply with the Patient Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities
· Ability to comply with Company and departmental safety policies and procedures
· Ability to read and write the English language
· Maintain daily census records and reports
· Billing Medicare, MSP, Managed Care and Primary Insurance claims in a timely manner with weekly follow-up
· Maintain accounts receivable, including collection letters and phone calls for past due receivables
· Daily bank deposits per policy
· Post cash daily to cash sheet & computer system
· Compile and process monthly Private and weekly Medicaid billing
· Financial verification & paperwork on all new admissions
· Maintain accurate records for Resident Trust Fund
· Prepare general correspondence and reports as required
· Supervise business office functions and business office employees
· Responsible for sub specific training or departmental employees
· Communicate in a professional manner with all employees, facility staff, residents, & families
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: May require frequent extended work days.
Sitting: 6 hours in an 8 hour shift. Alternates as needed to standing or walking.
Standing: 2 hours per 8 hour work shift.
Walking: 2 - 1 hours per 8 hour work shift.
Strength: Ability to maneuver and lift 50 Lbs.
Reliability, trustworthiness and consistency with regard to attendance is extremely important to this job. The ability to regularly and timely attend work, cooperative and politely work and deal with others, and to effectively multi-task and work in a stressful environment are also essential functions to this job.
STATEMENT: This position reports to the Administrator.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
