The Position: We’re looking for an energetic individual who is creative, collaborative, and able to think outside of the box. As a Media Consultant, you will join the Local Sales team and be responsible for obtaining, growing, and retaining advertising accounts across our broadcast, digital, and print platforms. Every client is unique and has their own story, goals & budget. It is the role of the Media Consultant to establish, cultivate, and maintain those relationships to ensure the client's needs are understood and met.
Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed revenue targets for existing, new, and digital business, as well as department initiatives, and develop a strategy to support achievement of goals.
- Build and enhance sales skills to include effective storytelling, prospecting and relationship building, negotiation, and closing.
- Research and build campaign solutions, including overall branding and creativity and ensure campaign execution meets client's expectations.
- Provide full visibility into the sales pipeline and accurate revenue forecasting.
- Real-time CRM tracking and updating of your customers.
- Utilize industry data and trends to develop business opportunities and identify product development needs of the customers to grow market share and reach new customers and industry leaders.
- Lead with integrity, establishing and maintaining a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment.
- Ensure client results, satisfaction, retention, and demonstrate commitment to client success.
Qualifications:
- Education and/or Experience –Degree in a related field and/or 2 years’ professional experience driving revenue. Media sales experience with familiarity with digital selling tools is preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of driving revenue and achieving goals.
- Entrepreneurial - excited about taking a strong business with a strong suite of products, and growing the business.
- Working knowledge and understanding of digital advertising strategies - including targeted display, SEM, targeted email, social media, and OTT/CTV.
- Ability to identify the key aspects of a potential opportunity, nurture the opportunity to close, engage clients as needed, and manage customer relationships through success.
- Ability to quickly recover from adversity.
- Can push self and others to achieve and excel in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Ability to effectively solve problems
- Creative and able to adapt quickly to change.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present to individuals and groups, explain complex or technical information to non-technical people in simple terms, and persuasively sell ideas.
