Overview
The role of the Residential Leadership Support Manager involves offering leadership guidance and educational training to residential managers and mid-level managers who may be new to the role or require additional support in carrying out specific tasks of their role. The Residential Leadership Support Manager will support and promote the mission, vision, and values of Heritage Christian Services.
Pay for this position: $60,405.80 / yr
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Responsibilities
- In consultation with residential leadership, develops training and professional development programs for residence managers/mid-level managers and implements training plans either 1:1 or group format.
- Work closely with residential leadership to identify training needs based on Compass data, individual/family survey data and feedback, other agency information or IRC trend data
- Apply knowledge of adult learning concepts to determine best approach for delivery of trainings
- In partnership with Associate Directors of Residential Operations, provides feedback and coaching to the residence managers and mid-level managers to facilitate their professional development
- Provides input regarding the performance and development the residence manager to the Associate director of Residential Operations
- Provides education on the following; Individual Funds, Therap, ADP and Scheduling, Policy and Procedures, Unusual Occurrences, IRC recommendations, Compass remediation, Human Rights submission and review, comprehensive Fire Evacuation Plan, employee training, person-centered supports, communication, family relationships, community integration and other relevant topics/tasks as requested.
- Documents training and education provided via Relias
- Serves as a positive role model for direct support staff and individuals served. Interacts with others in a way which will assist direct support staff in developing behaviors, skills and attitudes necessary for success.
- Provides education to Residence Managers in the management of individuals personal funds, operational funds and other fiscal responsibilities.
- Provides interim coverage in the Residence Manager role in the event of a vacancy or long-term absence.
- Serves on and actively contributes in vital agency committees as determined by the Director of Residential of Operations.
- Rotates with other members of leadership to be on-call for weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Attend ADRO and RM meetings
Qualifications
- At least five years experience in a leadership position within a human services field that serves people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred
- Residential manager experience preferred
- Minimum one year of direct support experience is required
- Must demonstrate exemplary verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to make sensitive management decisions, maintain composure and remain objective even when dealing with emotional topics, and facilitate crucial conversations when needed
- Demonstrate organizational skills
- Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment built on respect
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, Therap, and ADP
- Valid driver’s license that meets Heritage Christian motor vehicle standards
- Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds and provide assistance to people who require assistance with transfers
- Minimum of High School diploma or high school equivalency; college experience preferred
