Must have a minimum of CDA or AA in ECE or a like field. Qualified individuals with proven experience with children may receive free education to obtain their CDA.
Must pass Ohio and FBI background check
Must get an ODJFS medical form completed.

Heritage Christian Childcare Center is a New Facility opened in 2021 with tremendous growth and tremendous culture of staff who are kind, caring and creative. We have 2 buildings, one for infant-Preschool and a licensed Youth Center specifically for children ages K-12 years old.

1. The Lead Teacher position will be responsible for planning and implementing a program to teach young children including developing and adhering to age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to assist children in learning developmental skills, as well as Christian values. Complete age-appropriate evaluations and reports.
2. Provide guidance, leadership, and direction for each child, striving for the highest levels of morals, morale, and performance. This includes leading prayer time with children.
3. Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual needs of the children in the program.
4. Ensure equipment and the facility are clean, well maintained and safe at all times
5. Provide weekly and monthly schedules of activities that are age and culturally appropriate programs and activities including exploring math and literacy, songs, games and story telling.
6. Provide active care by comforting children, establishing routines and positive guidance and redirection, clearly and effectively communicating to children in a manner that each child can understand and assisting in building children’s self-esteem.
7. Communicate with parents both verbally and through daily reports. Build a solid relationship with them, working close with them to develop their child and discussing their child’s development needs.
8. Maintain classroom observation reports, incident reports, attendance charts, medication forms, documentation, and other necessary records and file-keeping information.
9. Gain knowledge of licensing standards and administrative codes, and comply with standards and codes. Treat children fairly and in compliance with standards and codes.
10. Have working knowledge of center’s policies/procedures. Provide teaching and care in a Christian manner as stated in the philosophy and goals of the center.
11. Participate in in-service trainings, including First Aid, CPR, Communicable Diseases, and Child Abuse Recognition and Prevention. Assist and participate in emergency procedures/drills.
12. Participate in center activities, including parent tours, open houses, parent-teacher conferences, and other extracurricular activities (i.e. community outreach, media publicity, etc.)
13. Perform housekeeping duties to maintain the highest level of cleanliness and safety for the well-being of the children, as well as presentation of the center. Ensure cleaning chart is kept up to date.
14. Respect confidentiality of families, fellow staff, and center files/information.
15. Have a good working relationship with parents, fellow staff, administration, and owners.
16. Attend and participate in staff meetings.
17. Effectively communicate with Administrator and parents to maintain an efficient and cooperative environment.'
