Service Technician I
Responsible for handling, inspecting, and preparing waste for the incineration process.
Essential Functions & Requirements:
- Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Safe and compliant loading and/or unloading of drums and containers from trucks.
- Process and/or store hazardous waste materials.
- Weigh and breakdown large into smaller containers.
- Sampling and inspecting all containers as they are received.
- Drive forklift to retrieve drums and containers from storage. Operate computer and conveyor.
- Transport/position trailers and tankers for collection of slag and ash.
- Clean-up work areas.
Education:
- High School or its equivalent required.
Experience:
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- HAZWOPER certificate and / or Firefighting experience is preferred.
