Senior Staff Accountant position: This role is responsible for handling cash activities, Cash reconciliation, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting month-end close processes. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update daily cash summaries and cash activity recaps.
- Process and post journal entries for cash activity.
- Prepare daily reconciliation for premium cash receipts across various billing systems, research and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of disbursements for premium refunds and claims.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements for multiple accounts and ensure proper follow-up on any outstanding items.
- Monitor and reconcile positive pay and credit adjustments to ensure timely updates to payment statuses.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing the required audit requests.
- Assist the billing team with any assigned tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in cash management and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and resolve discrepancies.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
