The Underwriting Assistant is responsible for processing policy changes and handling policy requests from agents and underwriters via email and phone and within established authority limits. The Underwriting Assistant also builds and maintains good agency relationships and maintains company service standards.

- Reviews and processes endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, broker of record requests, etc., within established guidelines.
- Provides support to agents and others as needed by promptly and courteously responding to inbound underwriting related inquiries via phone and email.
- Takes the appropriate course of action to resolve issues in accordance with established underwriting guidelines and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with industry and governmental regulations.
- Communicates with co-workers, management, clients, vendors, and others as needed in a courteous and
- Maintains the integrity of the company and products offered by complying with federal and state regulations as well
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience preferred within the Property and Casualty Insurance industry, preferably personal lines property.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Detail-oriented and well organized.
- Collaborative Partner, ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
- Ability to successfully multi-task.
