Job Summary:
As a Landscape Maintenance Supervisor of the Midlands, you will be responsible for managing teams that perform commercial landscape maintenance services. Reporting directly to the Senior Supervisor of Maintenance, your main focus of this role is to manage safety, excellence, and efficiency, and to provide leadership to your assigned teams.
Responsibilities:
As the Landscape Maintenance Supervisor of the Midlands, your duties will include but not be limited to the following:
Safety
- Monitor equipment inventory and ensure equipment is properly serviced
- Perform and participate in team and departmental safety meetings
- Ensure the safe operation of all maintenance equipment
- Ensure that all teams are performing inspections on vehicles and equipment
Excellence
- Assist in identifying enhancement opportunities on properties by creating issues in Aspire for the enhancement teams to follow up on including pictures and accurate descriptions of property issues
- Oversee each property assigned to their division to ensure quality work and client satisfaction
- Conduct a site audit of each job no less than every four weeks using a detailed inspection form
- Report site audits to clients upon request
Efficiency
- Manage schedules in Aspire to reduce drive time
- Manage schedules in Aspire to ensure that time worked on properties is in line with contract work hour numbers
- Work with the Director of Maintenance Sales to review contracts as they come up for renewal annually to ensure accurate hours and measurements are reflected
- Review equipment needs and maintenance schedules with the Senior Supervisor
- Work with other supervisors to schedule seasonal workers
- Organize, prioritize, and lead teams within established guidelines and timeframe
- Continuously identify ways to improve work processes
Administrative
- Communicate daily with the Senior Supervisor on job site progress and issues
- Document and prioritize projects/requests in Aspire
- Work closely with HR Manager to promote and enforce all Human Resource Procedures
- Document absences, tardiness, and other disciplinary actions in Inova/Aspire
- Daily approval of time on properties and weekly approval of timesheets in Aspire
- Hold teams accountable on all aspects of landscape maintenance services
Leadership
- Monitor the accuracy of information provided for time tracking
- Meet deadlines set by the Senior Supervisor
- Ensure new team members are in the training program and that a performance review is completed at the end of training
- Mentor team members and identify and aid those that want to be on the company career path
- Conduct performance reviews on team leaders/members
Qualification Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED, required
- Has prior client service and leadership experience
- Current State Pesticide Applicator license preferred, but not required
Professional Skills:
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English
- Demonstrates dependability and commitment to the required hours for job completion
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record
Physical & Environmental Considerations:
- Work outside in various weather conditions that may be hot, cold, wet, or turbulent
- Work in environments with loud noise levels, requiring hearing protection
- Must be able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies
- Must understand and abide by all OSHA regulations, including wearing PPE
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand, bend, and squat for extended periods
Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:30am to 5:00pm NOTE: As a salaried employee, your work hours/Days are structured on a completion-based schedule. This means that you are required to work until all assigned jobs for the day/week are completed, which could mean working weekend days in order to meet job completion requirements.

Salary : $65,000 - $72,000
