We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Counselor to lead our evening group and become part of our dedicated team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a Level 2.1 IOP setting located in the heart of Uptown. This role requires a strong commitment to support clients by providing education, advocacy, resources and follow-up to assist them getting on a healthy pathway to addiction recovery. Please be competent in crisis intervention, addiction/recovery education, understanding of co-occurring disorders, assessment, treatment and discharge planning. Ability to carry a caseload of 12-14 clients effectively. Cultural competence is a must! We serve clients from many diverse and cultural backgrounds. Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address patients' needs and goals.
- Provide crisis intervention services to clients in immediate distress.
- Perform comprehensive assessments.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within outpatient clinic settings to enhance patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or certificate equivalent in related field.
- Valid state licensure or certification
- Experience in outpatient settings, particularly with individual and group counseling.
- Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and diagnostic evaluation processes.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a clinical team environment.
- Compassionate approach towards working with diverse populations, culturally competent.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

- Addiction counseling: 1 year (Preferred)
