Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher, from an accredited college in Education or a similar field.
Minimum of five (5) years of successful technology experience in an education setting including three (3) years of classroom experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Certification and/or eligibility in administration and supervision, educational leadership, or other leadership certification.
Experience in research-based instructional practices specifically involving technology based instructional strategies that will effectively and efficiently support learning.
Previous coaching or teacher leadership experience.
Experience in Instructional Strategies, Conditions of Learning, Assessment for Learning.
Demonstrated strength in organization, communication skills and efficiency in meeting deadlines.
Performance Responsibilities:
Assist in the facilitation and the review of educational technology programs in compliance with district state, and federal laws, rules, and guidelines.
Design and deliver high quality professional development for teachers and administrators.
Assist teachers with instructional decisions on the use of technology based on best practices and the results of assessment data.
Assist teachers with specific classroom activities with the use of technology. Provide support for classroom motivation and management strategies using technology.
Assist teachers in creating materials to be utilized that are in alignment with curriculum frameworks.
Serve as a program consultant to school personnel with assistance in the identification of program needs and the selection of appropriate materials and equipment.
Provide services to schools in information processing, including school-related computer applications (monitoring student progress, scheduling, grade reporting, attendance, etc.).
Facilitate the use of educational technology to enhance curriculum and instruction.
Facilitate the use of district information and management software systems.
Align educational technology with the District mission and school improvement plans.
Attend and participate in educational meetings, workshops, and conferences pertinent to education technology programs and services.
Function as a positive collaborative member of a team.
Participate in professional learning and reflection.
Coordinate with Academic Services and the Technology and Information Services Department to meet technology goals and needs.
Prepare all required reports and maintain all appropriate records.
Sustain Focus and Attention to detail.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning and/or designee.
