Instructional Technology Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY
The Instructional Technology Coordinator reports to the Director, Instructional Technology Systems and Support Services. Working closely with the Instructional Design Team, the Instructional Technology Coordinator develops and ensures that the online learning experience supports the vision and design of SEU courses and learning experiences. The Instructional Technology Coordinator works with program owners and the development team to explore technologies that address the needs of the curriculum (e.g., simulations, virtual reality, interactive learning tools, content authoring software, etc.) and collaborates to recommend technologies that best meet instructional and assessment best practices. The Instructional Technology Coordinator is responsible for setting up and building online learning experiences according to the design specifications and desired functionality of the assigned project. The Instructional Technology Coordinator supports faculty and students in the appropriate application of educational technology to meet the needs of students with multiple learning styles within hybrid and online environments. This role will be responsible for introducing and incorporating appropriate technology for teaching and learning as well as handling and troubleshooting support-related issues that might arise in such use cases.
Additionally, the Instructional Technology Coordinator is responsible for the generation and oversight of all written documentation pertaining to instructional technology policies, practices, and processes. The Instructional Technology Coordinator is responsible for the management, guidance, and implementation of instructional technology in all functions of learning experiences, simulations, and interactive learning tools. This role focuses on troubleshooting, solving technical problems related to the delivery of learning and assessment materials, creating a consistent, seamless, user-friendly, and positive learning experience in the selected platform, and supervising all instructional technology affiliates. The Instructional Technology Coordinator also ensures that all aspects of the course work properly (hyperlinks, videos, sandboxes, third-party integrations) and collaborates with the instructional design team to ensure accessibility, asset management, content delivery, user experience, and universal design practice standards are met. The person in this role is responsible for the success of simultaneous projects, assessing risk, reporting progress, and communicating effectively with stakeholders to promote collaboration and accountability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but is not limited to the following:
- Design, build, and operationalize digital learning and assessment content for new courses and learning experiences and attend to continuous improvement and technology innovations of assigned projects
- Ensures pedagogical excellence in utilizing e-learning tools and environments from inception to completion; this includes, but is not limited to: instructional strategies, faculty training, student support, learning management systems, assessment techniques for measured learning, and appropriate integration of instructional technologies, troubleshooting, and best practices.
- Ensure that quality standards are reflected in all aspects of the student experience
- Collaborate with instructional design team members to build superior online course content that is supported by research-based best practices in online learning
- Work with the instructional technology team to ensure the functionality of digital courseware, including the integration of assessment measures and learning artifacts in new and existing courses
- Work with project managers and other team members to ensure all deadline dates are met throughout the design and development process
- Conduct quality assurance reviews on courses and implement revisions
- Assist with identifying and resolving challenges related to technology, to online delivery of content and assessments, and to the student experience
- Identifies needs, requirements, and pricing for the use of educational technology, and the ongoing monitoring of these tools, software, and platforms
- Stay informed about updates, changes, retiring assets, innovations, and opportunities related to SEU's selected platforms and delivery tools and processes
- Train and mentor team members on assigned SEU technologies

- Experience in online learning technologies and pedagogies
- Experience with UDL, ADA, and copyright compliance
- Experience with existing quality standards for course design
- Proficient in learning management systems;
- Background in learner experience design
- Brightspace course admin experience preferred
- Experience with competency-based learning
- Post-secondary teaching and learning experience
- Proven leadership in developing courses characterized by innovation in instructional design

- HTML5 knowledge
- HTML coding skills with additional skills in CSS and Google Cloud
