Information on the division:

Located in Everett, this newly built facility (21,400 sq. ft.) is the center of excellence for the final assembly of the Boeing 777 landing gear.

As part of Central Division, Supplier Quality Assurance team, you will lead sub-tier suppliers in achieving manufacturing quality gates such as accreditation audits, approving First Article Inspection Reports, and resolution of nonconformities. A smaller dedicated team, Supplier Quality Assurance is focused on quality, consistency, and teamwork across many organizational levels.

Summary:

Reporting to the Supplier Quality Assurance Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality performance of our suppliers, regarding compliance to Héroux- Devtek, our Customer’s, and regulatory requirements.

Main responsibilities:

  • Review conformity of product and processes to established acceptance requirements.
  • Support key players in the manufacturing process through providing training, risk analysis, or formal audits.
  • Establish performance indicators, improve processes, and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Involvement in resolving non-quality events by investigating root causes and assessing corrective actions from suppliers.
  • Work closely with buyers, quality directors of the various manufacturing sites, engineers from the Materials and Processes or Methods groups, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective monitoring of performance and health indicators, and implement reactions as necessary.
  • Support the verification of FAIs (First Article Inspection) as well as production unit inspection.
  • Investigate and identify future risks while identifying solutions focusing on cost reduction.
  • Make continuous improvement recommendations with a collaborative approach.
  • Promote a quality-driven culture throughout the company and our supply chain.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Undergraduate university degree in engineering with a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of the AS9100 standard and interpretation of drawings including geometric tolerancing. (GD&T)
  • In-depth knowledge of machining methods and post-machining processes used in aviation manufacturing is a major asset.
  • Can support around 30% travel to supplier facilities in support of supply chain needs.
  • Capacity for functional written and spoken communications – English (required) and French (preferred)

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
