Job Duties (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):
Leads and mentors the Senior Benefits Retirement Analyst, emphasizing professional growth, compliance, and strategic objectives.*
Develops and executes a roadmap for retirement benefit programs, aligning with organizational goals. Analyzes benchmark surveys and market, economic, and plan financial data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Makes recommendations to improve HE&R’s competitive position and compliance activities.*
Acts as an expert on retirement benefits and fiduciary responsibility best practices.
Develops audit protocols for all retirement programs and establishes a regular audit schedule. Maintains a report of audit findings and corrections; oversees corrections; recommends changes to established procedures as required.*
Ensures meticulous compliance with intricate retirement benefit laws, regulations, and internal policies.*
Prepares plan documents as needed including notices, amendments, and administrative procedure documentation.*
Develop and manage a standardized system for tracking and evaluating vendor performance on predetermined benchmarks and objectives.
Supports the regular delivery of the summary of benefit program operations to the executive team. Provides analysis to support recommendations of changes to programs.
Spearheads initiatives to enhance payroll and HRIS integration, optimizing operational efficiency.*
Resolve complex retirement benefit issues and inquiries, providing expert guidance to the team.*
Works with finance to ensure plans are budgeted and accounted for properly.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging industry trends and best practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Relevant work experience can be substituted for education - 9 years
Bachelor’s degree - Finance, Human Resources, Other - Additional
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven leadership experience in managing retirement benefit programs with a strong focus on compliance and strategy.
In-depth knowledge of retirement benefit laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Strong understanding of eligibility, enrollment, contribution, match, forfeitures, testing, correction, and plan documents.
Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Track record of successfully implementing compliance strategies and process improvements.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a high-performing team.
