What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Logistics Specialist position at Hertz Local Edition?
The Fleet Logistics Specialist will join the Fleet Logistics team to improve logistical efficiencies and cost savings through enhanced data analytics and communication.
Key-result areas:
- Responsible for securing transport, pricing analysis, and creating purchase orders for timely payments.
- Ensure cars have been delivered and installed by utilizing exception-based reporting tools.
- Assist new carriers with the registration process, validate insurance requirements and work with procurement on Oracle setup.
- Maintain carrier files with all pertinent paperwork and update quarterly to ensure all documents are current.
- Become a super user in fleet tracking platform and tools to improve return on assets.
- Develop strong working relationships with corporate and field personnel and address queries.
- Manage all administrative tasks related to logistics across North America.
- Additional assignments as defined by management.
The salary for this opportunity is $60,000/yr.
Knowledge, skills and experience required
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in a business related or analytical discipline, preferred
Professional Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in Logistics, Finance, Analytics or business-related field.
- Prior experience in the Rent-A-Car industry, preferred
Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of business and fleet concepts
- Automotive industry, Finance and Logistics
