What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Specialist position at Herzog Wine Cellars?
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for all inventory in the Warehouse to ensure items are accurately stocked and stored in the appropriate areas. The Inventory Control Specialist also assists in all areas of the Warehouse as needed. Overtime may be required to meet Warehouse needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs the following duties, but not limited to:
· Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives;
· Transportation of Dry Goods from off-site facility;
· Maintains accurate inventory of all Dry Goods, identifies discrepancies and replenishes as needed;
· Organization of all inventory onsite and offsite;
· Maintains logs of all products and supplies;
· Safely operates forklift as needed;
· Provides transactional hand off of all daily dry goods to the bottling line;
· Assist in preparing all distributor and internal orders that need to be shipped as needed;
· Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned including shipping / receiving and special projects;
· Conduct operations in a manner, which promotes safety and is in accordance with OSHA standards;
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent. Three (3) year of previous warehouse experience preferred; Any combination of training, education, and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties successfully and meet business objectives. Forklift certification required.
Knowledge / Technical Skills: Good organizational, time management mathematical skills, dependable and reliable, inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills. Forklift and warehouse experience are a plus. Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory logs and databases. Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Accuracy and attention to detail a must. Good knowledge of maintenance within a warehouse, manufacturing and/or distribution environment. Professional verbal and written communication skills; Understanding of principles and practices of the organization, planning, dependability, adaptability, and confidentiality are necessary attributes.
Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. Skilled in operating standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, telephone systems, calculators, copiers, and scanners. Knowledge of all equipment operation and energy sources as related to safe lock out.
Customer Service Skills: Politeness, confidence, tact, patience, and diplomacy while dealing with complex and confidential situations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal effectively across all levels of the business organization are necessary. Must have problem solving skills. The ability to maintain a professional and courteous relationship with employees, guests, vendors, etc. Meet deadlines and possess excellent, project management and decision-making skills.

Ability to stand for extended periods of time for 10-hour shifts. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The worker is subject to both environmental conditions as activities occur inside and outside. The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to wear proper personal protective wear as required. The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. Personal protection equipment must be worn as required.
